Get the 6 degree wedge, 7.0 nujet prop, and Ocean Pro rideplate and you might see 60mph! The SLTX responds well to thrust mods and hull lifting.

got 57 on the mfd on my stock 96 sl780 just before it melted down! I guess it was making more power when it was running really lean. Now it does like 53-54 after the rebuild

I always wondered that, if a engine is running lean does it make more power????

I would think this would relate to a 2 stroke ski but when i used to run rc cars and planes they would make more power leaner but run hotter and burn stuff up easier.??? Im sure there is a point of diminishing return though. you can only go so lean before you begin to lose power again (especially if you blow holes through your pistons)

Thanks for the input! That's what I like to hear before I spend the $$$. What is the stock wedge I'm running now? What gains do you think I'd see adding a 6 vane stator to the mix?

Those items are going to be a part of my "Dock Holiday" project thread I have going. The ski is obviously running but the project thread needs to be updated.

Stock is 4 degree. The 6 degree will net 1mph easy. If you have more questions post in a new thread. I don't want to hijack this thread.

I hit 56.8 MPF on the MFD at lake pleasant,az last weekend early in the morning with no chop, pretty good for 3 seater with 200lb rider. Very happy with ski overall, but now i am interested in what tony is up to to be able to hit 60MPH, please let me know Tony what you have to do.
