hello, I own a 2002 1100zxi. The zxi is a smaller 2 seater. It is horrible on fuel, porpoises badly, and the location of the air intake makes it very very very easy to sink the ski.
The air intake is on the back behind the seat, so if a second person tries to get on the ski from the back and dips the back down, it will take on water.
It's small, light, and fun to ride around and jump.

I owned one....has to rate among the worst ski ever made as far as comfort goes. The early ones had design problems that would cause the ski to jack knife unexpectedly at top speed on calm water and throw the operator. Lots of injuries resulted from this. Newer models were safer, but not 100%. It is fun as a one passenger ski and likes to be thrown around a bouy course. Rough water ride is terrible...bumpy and wet. There are dozens of better skis around, I would pass on this one.

I own 2 of them, a 98 and 99.
it's a good starter ski i suppose ( Kinda big engine 1100 lol ) but not the best for the ocean. the ones i have now are very unreliable, MAKE SURE THE OIL PUMP WORKS! Going from a 98 1100 ZXI to a new 2005 RXP is a big difference.......
CONS
*Bad in the ocean,
*Horrible in the chop ( although there are aftermarket products and certain things you can do to improve that )
*can only really seat one person, even though it's marked for 2

Another thing..the oil injection is not variable rate..you get the same ratio at idle as at WOT = waste of oil and a lot of smoke.

on a other note, they are alot of fun to ride,
just took mine out on saturday and had a blast.
very maneuverable, even with the stock sponsons ( been meaing to change them to worx )
alot different than the RXP.........
