Jet trim. 2010 130 GTI over 1000 hours. It turned out quite well I think for my first ever.
I would have tried something different for the underlying plastic next time. Jet Trim suggested that I remove the old seat cover since it was no longer sealed (stitching was pulling apart). I wish the plastic was some how tigher under neath since it has added a wrinkle under the fabric. I think I’m the only one that notices this wrinkle though.
I just bought a cheap air stapler from Home Depot and it worked fine. I can see how the stapler suggested on this thread would have been helpful. So far it looks good and is holding together well but its only been a couple hours on the water. I will let you know if it does not.
The cost ended up being more than I anticipated. The seat cover was a fair price but I’m in Canada so there was exchange, shipping and then an unanticipated Customs charge. My advice is to Keep in mind total costs as buying a whole new seat might not be that different.

We just ordered a seat cover for our GP1200R.... can't wait to get it installed, waiting for the stapler to arrive.

We finished our Jet Trim seat last night. I was worried about not having material for the ears but they must’ve changed the patterns because we had plenty.

Hi All,
I am in the process of recovering my seat. I went and got some marine vinyl and going to try that route, but wanted to get everyone's thoughts. Should I leave the current OEM seat cover on even though it is ripped? My concern is that you may see a crease when the vinyl on top is tight. If I should keep it on, should I just duck tape the ripps to keep the overall shape flat and avoid a potential crease?
Also it seemed that the person before me used an adhesive. It seems that everyone is recommending not using an adhesive, correct?
Thanks!

Those tears are pretty substantial. I’d fill them in... there’s ways to do it by gluing foam into the cracks, then glue the vinyl back down.
There’s also videos by The Jetski Store.
