Cleaning Burn Marks on S/S Wear Ring
I am going through some prop testing and repitching. Of course while doing this I am also getting some nice burn marks on the ring from the prop and will be making corrections to it from there. How do I clean up the burn marks on the ring without damaging it when I am testing props. I don't want to leave them there because I am checking each prop and want a clean ring prior to each change. There is no significant damage to the ring, it appears to be just the surface because I cannot feel any grooves or imperfections to the ring.
One thing is for sure is that when I look at an old plastic wear ring, it would have been toast. So, the Stainless Steel is already beginning to pay for itself.
