NEED HELP URGENT(HULK) RXP DOWN
Sorry for the repeat emails, but i still dont think everyone understands what I have been talking about, need to know what function and if they are totally needed. the piece is a plastic piece called a pump support mounts directly to the hull and contains 8 plastic fins. I have gotten some responses from people saying you need a chainsaw and explosives to get it off. My friend emailed hulk but I think you were thinking of a different part.

I think that's called Pump Shoe. They call it the Pump Support (#1) here:

I understand those fins are needed and it is a huge pain to install a new one if the fins are severely damaged. Looks like its $100 through them for a new one.

You won't do any damage to your ski if you run it with those "shark teeth" damaged. If you have some jagged edges, you may get some cavitation and lose some performance. But I think if you file the broken ones down, you should not have any problems.

I have 3 of those fins missing and the rest of them are chewed at least half way off and my ski still goes great. Didnt hurt my top speed or my hole shot at all.

I wonder if these vanes in the pump shoe are slowing us down???
I know the yamaha's don't have vanes in this location. One of the yami guru's that is running 80+ mentioned to me that he thinks these vanes may be holding back some speed.
