Be sure the winch strap goes under the bow roller, and the roller contacts the hull above the bow loop, but under the rub rail.

That way, the boat cannot shift up and forward during a sudden stop while you are pulling the trailer.

Since the boat needed so much work, be sure the trailer is in good shape. Winch straps can weaken with age and sun exposure, make sure yours is still good.

Trailer wheel bearings need grease. If they have not been checked, you might want to have someone inspect the bearings, wheels and tires.

And the check the rest of the trailer too. Look for loose wires, loose or missing nuts or bolts, check the coupler clamping tension adjustment, etc.

Trailer tires don't wear out like car tires. They usually get old and unsafe, yet still have lots of tread showing. If the trailer tires are more than 6-8 years old, it is time to get new ones. There is a date code embossed into the side of each tire. A good tire shop would be able to tell you how old they are.

Good to hear you are able to get out and enjoy the water.

The trailer is actually in great shape...I had originally purchased the trailer with a Mastercraft wetjet duo jet ski for $350..I couldn't find the parts to get the ski working, so I sold it for $300 and kept the trailer.....

The only problem w/ the trailer was on my way to drop the jet ski off to Prochamp, it blew a tire....Then from the tire blowing it took out the back tail light of the trailer..Since then it's all been fixed

If one blew old it was probaly dry rotted. So then the other one should be in the same shape. I would pick one up and replace the old one when you get a chance. Then the old one could be keep for a spare.
