If angles are angles, then why does A 17/25 solas read different than a stock 17/25 or a skat 17/25?

    I believe you I just don't understand.

And, I broke down and bought the ones from watcon,OOPS!!

Anyways, how the heck do you use these things? I got a 17/25 and it's reading 14 or???? The gauge doesn't even go to 17!

Angle and pitch are not the same, ok i'm going to try and explain this the best way i can 140mm=5.51", 155mm=6.1" 1/2 of 5.51=2.755, 1/2 of 6.1=3.05 now that thats done "pi*1/2 dia*2 = circ"

    3.14159*2.755*2=17.31
    3.14159*3.05*2=19.16
    17.31*Tangent(42deg)=15.586"pitch
    19.16*TAN(42deg)=17.255"pitch

OK im use to outboards but pitch is the distance traveled in a solid per one revolution with no slip the props on a pump have two pitches one on the front side one on the trailing end. They use this to compress the fluid in the pump i think it took a some searching to find this i hope it helps it helped me a lot
