Bit of a bump on an older thread
Intend removing and rebuilding carbs this weekend, its an 04' xlt1200 about 120hrs, got starting problems and its really bogging down having to constantly feather the throttle, carbs have never been out.
Already got d plate and freeflow fitted, was going to fit a primer kit, new air intake/fa's, remove choke plates and remove accel pump cam.
Would these settings still be useable ?
    THanks in advance,

Are these the stock jet sizes and needle seats? And what are the low speed and high speeds set at from the factory?

Nope they are not stock. As far as turns on the oem you have to remove the TE caps and count them. I have posted it somewhere here but can't remember where.

If you replace the cat with a d-plate is it recommended to remove the accelerator pump and also to rejet the carbs?

I think so. I have yet to do this mod (need parts) but I will let you know what my results are.

No, but if you want enhanced performance and reliability, Then add aftermarket flame arrestors and do this mod and you will not regret it.
