Anyone remember who was peddling backup generators here a year or so ago?
I cant seem to find the thread. Maybe I'm just an idiot, but this person had the ability to get deals on generators.

Well, isnt that even better. Southhaven is 2 hours and 10 minutes from me, all interstate.
I'm looking to assemble a hybrid off-grid power system capable of generating 2000 kW/h /month. A generator would only be used for times when both the sun and wind have decided to piss on my day and hide themselves. It would be used to charge a battery bank.

We can do it but it costs lots and lots of money.
Call me and we can discuss it if you like.
Keep in mind that it cost more money to make electricity than it does to purchase it.
Where you save money is on an intaruptable rate program that will cut costs as much as 50% a year. Sometimes it more than covers the amount of a purchase.
Average payback is 4-8 years depending on fuel cost.

Wouldn`t mind a 12-15kw diesel. For a rock bottom Chinese price!

Hoss I can get you a number on one, diesels are pretty high, would LP work, or would you prefer diesel?
If diesel would you want it on a trailer with multiple output voltages?

LP would work but much rather diesel. Trailer is fine although it won`t be mounted on it. Going up above flood plain. Don`t wanna be caught with my pants down next time a Katrina rolls through. I want AC and my pool to work!

Central air, 2600 square feet, 5 ton. I figurred it out during Katrina and a 12k would be perfect. Could operate everything with no worries and at less than 85% load.
