my 4" air intake
i used:
-about 6' of smooth bore 4" hose
-4" air filter and prefilter (if needed)
-4" sc adapter from rxpblast
-about 1.5' of 3/4" id hose
-some sort of L bracket
pretty simple setup, takes like 1 hour to do from start to finish. i decided to go the glove box route instead of rear intakes or hood intakes. rear intakes can ingest water and hood intake use too long of a hose. i simply cut the bottom of my glove box out and mounted an L bracket to hold my filter in place. when im in the river where its calm doing speed runs, i leave the glove box open. when im in the bay were its rough i just put the lid back on. simple yet effective. sc whine is very loud..almost too loud (if u can imagine that).
i left the stock airbox and rectifier in place. y u ask? well, its just easier. i dont have to buy a rectifier battery mount, catch can, or take the air box out which is not fun. i use it as a catch.
i just got my jettrim seatcover put on, and did my finger throttle kit with odi grips a few weeks ago..world of difference!
ill attach my mod record..what speeds i got with wat mods..ect and ill try to take a vid today so u can hear how loud the sc is.
also testing new rr sc imp today so...Last edited by mxl16; 07-15-2006 at 10:31 AM.

Very nice set up. Question of the day--where does one buy six feet or more of smooth bore four inch inside diameter hose??

just got back from testing new rr imp with the above set up. its nothing earth shattering but it definatly has some kick now. very nice gain over stock. i gained some rpms on top, mayb 100 and some speed. i hit 73.0 twice with a little bit more than half tank of gas. im sure if i could rev to 8400 it would be
. i dont have a boost gauge so i cant comment on how much boost i have but like i said it deffinatly has some more power.
