03 1300R is built-going to get her
My 03 1300R is done, and running pretty good. Driving the 14 hours one way to go get it this weekend. With my 4 year old daughter, should be fun...LOL
I really need to thank DSolie (dan), who built it for me. Its really cool to have friends who help a guy out as much as he does me.
I also need to thank waterworxx, who send me a bunch of the parts I needed, and who also has always been there to help me out, which seems to be more often than not.
Then came
RUNWME, who supplied all my go fast handling stuff and a bunch of tips
WFO, who I already told we are not done with him yet...LOL
YUDLUZ2 Ben...got me the big stuff...
Jim, Duke, OsideBill, I need to thank you all
As for the ski, I started out wanting a totally stock ski, with a few handling mods. However as it took a bit of time,we ended up going with the following parts
Jims head to 150 psi
riva race filter
riva efi controller
powder lites spacer
3 degree keyway
HO pump(not in yet)
14-20 prop
FF plate with tommy skegs
800 grate by RUNWME
d-plate
PPK
oil injection block-off
aftermarket bars
I know I missed some stuff, but thats the gist of it.
Dan had it out once, and hit 72.2 with the stock head. I hope with 30 more psi we should be able to turn the 14-20 closer to 75. We'll see. There are a few more free mods to do (air and water stuff) so that should help too. If not, a little spray will go a long way. Its nice being from snowmobile central, those guys know their nitrous...
Once again, to everyone who helped, thank you very much.....

Your welcome Reg.. Thanks for having the patience as I learn not only about Yamaha's but also triples..
I will say, this has been a great experience. I have really enjoyed working on and learning about this ski. I have had more fun on this ski than I did on the DI-build we did a while back.
See ya in a couple of days.. Tyler will be back here Sat Afternoon so your girl can have a friend.

I noticed the Alberta address on your post. Where do you boat mainly? I am west of Edmonton on Wabamun Lake. Maybe see you on the water sometime.
