If you strip the soft phillips head screws inside the carb body.
Take a dowell pin and place it on the top surface of the screw.
Tap on it with a hammer and it will push the soft material back into the head.
Then the screwdriver will take it out no prob.

those were in a set of carbs I bought! I bet the original owner called it quits! they are the normal Mikuni needles that separated for some reason? I check pop off so I would have caught it but lots of folks do not ( I just happen to notice the dif while they were on the counter )

I have never seen a new one with a ring. that comes from wear over time, where it seals on the pump face.

You guys are forgetting the biggest carb issue of them all!!!!! The builder...

Guys who think they know how to work on carbs and don't have a clue!!!
I love seeing carbs for sale with "fresh rebuild" and then people receive delivery of them and you take them apart and they are junk!!!!! Or people who THINK they know how to set their skis up and then one run later we see pics of detonated cylinders on the forum wondering why did this happen?

I leave it to the pros because their are just some things I know I just cant do and want it done right!
