F/S MFD
I have (3) 3280252 8 pin units for the SL's and (1) 3280224 Hurricane
1 Real Nice 205
2 Very Nice (scratches in lens) 185.
The Cane unit is missing some pixels but the functions all work.
The unit will fit all 8 pin, it has 2 mounting studs and the face is faded but readable. 100.00.

Boy you have been doing some house cleaning. I need to have you come down to my house and clean also.

What does the Hurricane unit look like?
Perhaps you could create a photo spread of all the different models, so we could learn what the differences are between these MFD versions.
I only know about the early round MFD, the larger and popular 'oval' MFD, and that some MFD have 8 pin connectors, and some have twelve pin connectors.
Beyond that, I am not so clear on the subtle differences.

Do you have a MFD for a 1999 SLH?

Hurricane MFD is idenical to the normal MFD except the front cover does not have any trim on it. The hurricane can be used in place of an normal MFD but it does not have the bow up or bow down on the cover.

The Cane also has two studs in the rear of the unit so that you can secure it into place. I'm not sure if this is true of both the 96 and 97 but that's how they mount on both my 96's and the spare unitI have.

It is, my 97 has studs too, I put my hurricane MFD in the SL750 for a while and it worked with no problems.

I rehab'ed mine, but either didn't seal it well enough, or the sealant leached moisture and/or corrosive gases inside the case. I'm afraid my circuit board is probably shot, as I can't get it to work properly.
SO, I need another. I've got a 96 SL900, where it's like a wide rectangle, but the top side is rounded. 8-pin connecter on the back. (See attached thumbnail.) That's the same as the 3 you have to choose from, right? Have any of them been 'under the knife', and do any of them have parts of the display fading out? What are the hours registered on the units?
