Welcome FNG,
I would first cover you basics. Run a compression test,(all cyl.should be with in 10% of each other)Fresh Plugs, remove the boots from your wires and trim them back about a 1/4" and reinstall the boots. Check your fuel seperator(located by the top rear of the seat),see if there is any water in it.(if so drain and clean the tank). Then if that doesn't take care of it you may need to do some carb rebuilding.Or look for a weak coil, etc.

yep sounds like it's going into limp mode , low fuel , low oil or running hot are some of the syptoms thats cause it to go into limp mode if you open the electrical box and disconnect the gray wire and then test ride it and see if that cures it if so you need to chect the above for being bad .

Welcome to the Hulk new guy.
You're in limp mode. I'm willing to bet your MFD red light is flashing with fuel displaying. More than likely the fuel float is "gas logged" and is sinking even though the tank is full.
Randy at Watcon.com has new floats for around $18.
Try this test, open the black elec box above the battery. Remove the grey wire coming from the CDI (small black box) and remove it from the circuit board. Close the elec box back up, making sure to not pinch any wires, and let us know if that helped it.
