have you ridden alot before? if so id say get a 450,,, if not get a 250,,,
definitly a 4-stroke, their much better for trail rides... also if your not concerned about weight get the happy button models (CRF450X) its really nice having a start button, but it adds 25+ lbs .... i have a CRF450R and i love it!

i had a ttr225 that i rode the crap out of 4 years ago the thing was garbage though constantly broke and the weird part was the weirdest crap would break.
like i didnt break suspension parts. i broke starters, wiring harness chaffed all over and stator went out. i always wished it had a kick start becuase i pop started that thing more times then i used the starter.
so a 250 or bigger then. okay thanks.

Get an 89 or newer CR500 Honda. That will climb anything.

thanks for the help guys.
i got to make a decsision in a couple of days the chain and ball gave me a decision either i can sell the ski and get a different one(i was planing on building one but its looking like its not gona work out) i want a 4stroke so im thinking a honda r12x or i can buy a cheap dirt bike.
i want to get away from and stay away from the strokes i forgot what a pain in the balls they are.

Yami has the WR250F... 4 stroke with electric start and lights... larger radiator and has a 5 spd trans, oh and a kick stand. Same frame and suspension as the YZFs. The YZFs are not really trail bikes like the WRs.

IMO the TTs are more of an entry level bike, but still a very good "first" trail bike.

I would stick to a honda dirtbike. Like someone else said the 450. Honda motors are relaible as hell. My friends has a 03 cr450F rides the crap out of it nothing but routine oil changes and easy maintence, fires up every time and still scares the hell out of me when i get a hold of it on some striaght aways. Powerful bike.
