I have pump problems
I have a 2000 Virage TX. It has a 1200 3cyl. It has trouble taken off, holding idle, and will not reach top speed.
I emptied the fuel water seprater and when I turned it over it took for ever for the fuel to fill it up. I thought it was the pumps and rebuilt them, but it still dose the same thing. It will not fill the fuel water bulb to the top anymore. Any thoughts.
Mike

If this a carbed motor? When was the last the carbs are rebuilt? If it is do not run it till you go thru them,it sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Running it with a plugged carb will burn down a piston before you know it.Do a search here for fuel problems.

Check for air/vacuum leaks in the fuel system leading to the fuel/water separator, and to the fuel pump. Cracked hose, loose nipple connection, etc.
Is the fuel/water separator itself not fully sealed?
If you have fuel valve, it may be leaking air.
If the fuel pump is pumping fluid, then the air in the fuel system should get moved through and purged out, unless there is a source of air leaking into the fuel feed.

Do your testing in SHORT bursts, do NOT hold it WOT or you may burn the engine down. Pull the carbs and verify the filters are clean along with the rest of the carbs.
It's old enough you should be replacing all the fuel line and rebuilding the fuel pump.

Tempo fuel lines in 2000 were junk and were known for clogging the fuel system up. Mine only had 60hrs on it and it was already causing a problem.
