engine value/ moving engine inserts on 800
okay please comment on only the questions im asking. just something im thinking about.
edit just the motor.
how much is a 800 engine with carbs exhaust and electronics worth?
second how would you move the motor mount inserts forward i see the marking for the 1200/1300 would you be able to drill then and use and extremely strong magnet to slide it forward. or maybe hold it in place with a bolt and dremel out a slot and slide it forward then rivet it in?Last edited by stingray152003; 06-22-2008 at 10:43 PM.

try nadaguides for the value.
as for teh mounts, the locations are marked. you would need to drill out the rivets, let the plate fall into the stringer. make the new holes and then tilt the hull, fish out the plate with a hanger or somethging. it's stainless, so no magnets.

i was talking about the motor not the whole ski i dont think nada does motors.
you know i was just thinking when we intalled the hitch on my far we used a piece of wire to pull the bolts through a frame about 6inches away from where we drilled the holes to mount the hitch maybe something similar could be done.

well i wasnt sure what they were made of and i have never had one out. i have a magnet for a drill press for frames on large trucks you set it and put some electric to it and you cant separate it from the frame and allows you to drill into the frame. i knew if they were just galvanized steal or something magnetic i could use that.
