it's just a ski i found in the area. and the hull seems to be in excellent shape (vx110). and i was gonna buy it and possibly put a motor in it and give it to my dad. he's lookin for a decent 3 seater for around 4,000. it's possibly but very rare that you come across deals like this. i was just wondering. thanks

the electronics should be sealed , your in destin, so i guess it's salt water . did it get hung under a dock ? how has it been sitting with water in it . is the motor locked up ?

Ah that paints a better picture..
Well if the ski was sank/submerged etc..
IF:. After the event the hull was dried out pretty well and quickly then the electrical system could well be ok..??
The electrical boxes on Yamaha's are pretty well put together..
Is it a safe bet to assume the motor is toast..??
The thing about it is...
IF its at the right money..?? buy it anyway..,
You could always resell it.. maybe even turn a profit..??
