Removing fuel sending unit from SLT780
I have the screws removed and I cannot get enough clearance to get this thing out. I was going to try to force it a more of an angle but thought I would check with you guys first. It may be that I have to remove the gas tank. Anyone do this repair? Thanks Mike

Don't quote me on this im unsure how the 780 tank sits but to remove the sender on my 750 I have to do the following
Gas tank has to be emptied then the large neckhose loosened then popped off, theres 4 bolts on the bottom of of the sides of the tank (2 on each side) then I just shift it forward a few inch's, after that it slides right out

Remove the four bolts at the bottom of the tank and slide it forward. I assume you're going to replace the float? If not, now would be a great time to get one from Watcon.
