o ring
Getting ready to change oil on my rxp for the first time. I went to order the filter and when I searched I saw an o-ring. Do I need it? Also what filter should I get for an 06 rxp 215hp, the OEM or the K&N?

If you are careful with the old o-ring then you can get by without it BUT since they are cheap it's good to go ahead and replace it when you change oil just to be sure. If you don't have one and are ready to change the oil then go ahead but next time replace it. The OEM or K&N filters are equal...get the one that is cheapest.

I plan on using 10-40 oil like the instructions that I got from here say. I think it is supposed to be synthetic, is there a certain grade that is required?
