RXT Gas Mileage from Cruise
I have a stage 2 RXT.
I did a cruise down the cumberland river today. Ended up going almost exactly 80 miles. I was cruising at 5000rpms the whole time. Probably going from 35-38 mph. I did about 4, 10 second WOT runs.
This was with my wife on board and about 20 pounds in the front. So probably about 350lbs on the ski.
I got the low fuel warning after getting to the boat ramp. Anyone know how many gallons are left with the low fuel ?
Boattest said this stats for rxp.
What I don't understand is I was doing 5000rpms which is about 65% and I was going 35-38mph on the boattest with an rxp it looks like 65% would be going about 55mph. Anyone with a RXP see 55mph at 5000rpms ?
Boattest says at 35mph you should be able to go 183miles. I only made it 80miles. Anyone know how many miles they made it on a tank ?

I have made it 105 and put 16.1 gal. in. It was missing the last 2 miles, but never stopped. I was running around 51- 55 most of the time, real easy on gas.

Greetings--
We spent a few days riding on Lake Travis (Austin, TX). We rode up the lake (river) about 50 miles up and 50 miles back at avg 40-45 MPH. We figured we were getting about 5-6 MPG. We'd stop at the last marina (at about 35 miles up) and top off going and comming back.
15 gal tank on our GTX-SC's= about 75 miles per tank (keeping off the throttle !)

Full tank cruising on my RXP on the river last weekend at 4500-5000rpms (equaled 35-38mph+/-) got me about 85 miles (and maybe 5 mile of it was WOT)...
For what it's worth...

Thanks for all the numbers. Also a edit note. This was with my wife on board and about 20 pounds in the front. So probably about 350lbs on the ski.
I think it's safe to say the RXT gets about 75-85 miles out of tank before you hit the low marker.

Check your service manual. It indicates how much WOT you have after the buzzer.
