1996 slt 700 will not start when warm
Hey guys I've seen the cdi jumper wire bulletin just wondering if any one had done this on a 1996 slt.
Had the Gen III ingnition put on under warranty years ago, however when the ski is warm it will not start. Let it cool for 30-60 min fires right up.
thanks,
Vernon

Sounds like the stator is going bad. Test it when it's hot per the service manual.

hi stang, WELCOME to the Green Hulk Forums!!
I'd first verify you have no spark while cranking.
I'd then have a stand by battery orj umper pack so you can make sure the battery is strong enough for a hot start.
I've seen engines which heat sink or the starters have a high draw when hot and the battery is just to weak to fire the ignition system.
