Small problems after a fun weekend... (sptstr/spdstr 150)
We had the sportster at the local lake for a fun weekend. Two small problems cropped up.
#1 The seadoo stock wakeboard tower broke. It has barely been used but the upright joint near the helm broke right at the circular weld. Looks like I'm shopping for an Aluminum welder.
#2 Rear hatch release pull popped right out of the helm. Looks like an easy fix hopefully. I have to take a closer look but looks like a nylon backing nut pulled off.
I probably pulled to hard in frustration that the hatch doesn't always open and I have to pull up on it a little. Does that happen to anyone else?

Its always something with these boats.....
My rear hatch sticks as well. I usually adjust the cables everytime I go out. Works fine for a while then sticks. My dealer told me it is the gas shocks (I think thats what he called them) that need to be replaced.
That really sucks about the wake tower....Hopefully it can be fixed/replaced soon this way you don't have much down time.....

Yah, I'm outta warrantee so as far as the tower goes, I'm looking for an Aluminum welder. I figure its a 30 min repair.
How does one adjust the release cable? When I last looked I thought the flat area of the latch pin on the trunk was slightly mis-aligned. I tried to adjust it but its mounted on a big rubber gromet and doesn't appear to be adjustible.
Therefore, when I pull the release, the catch doesn't full clear the pin b/c aforementioned alignment is out.
Pics tonight...

That’s a clear manufactures defect I would think if you brought that to a local dealer and they contact Sea-doo they would take car of you. Or you can always email them the pics.
I think some other company makes the towers for seadoo so maybe even email them.
Otherwise it looks like a very easy fix for any welder in the area.
