what is needed for porting?
i'm thinking about porting my 07 gp1300r but i need to know what all i need to do so or do i already have everything? are aftermarket reeds (VF3's) a must or will stock ones do? i'm looking to keep my ski reliable.

To be honest if you want reliability just leave it the way it is. You will see differences with the porting but its not going to be huge numbers by any means. You have quite a bit done already and if its going good so far seriously save the money for gas this summer!
If you do go with the porting though definitly send you stuff to Lowell, he's the BEST!!

why would i need to send my head to lowell? it's already milled for compression 150-150-145 or is that not enough? also james i was planning on making a trip out to PCB to ride with you guys.

At this point, I would add the Reeds before porting because to be honest, the reeds adds about as much power and rpm as porting will.
Get the reeds in there, tuned in and pitch that prop up and you will go way faster 75-78mph is possible without porting.
