Noob saying Hi
Hey everyone, i've been a lurker here for quite sometime, actually, i may have made a post before but i'm sure it was a long time ago if i did. In any case, this place rocks!
I used to have a 02 gp800r, and finally out grew it and picked up an 08 1300. I am so smitten with this machine i've contemplated sleeping on it. Planning on keeping it stock for now, but once the warranty is up i'm going to get a D plate and probably make some hull modifications.
In the mean time, i was wondering if anyone has the yamaha accessory bag that hooks onto the grip handle. I think that'd be great for me to throw my fenders in when i go to my friends house (so i don't have to sacrifice the space under the hood), but how well does it attach? Oh and here's a pic of my baby

I have the stern bag on my ski. It attaches using velcro tape to the hull and has 2 straps that wrap around the grab bar.
It is water resistant, not waterproof. For normal riding and light wake jumping it remains 95% dry inside.
It's a decent size, but it's sloped design flows well with the hull. I keep fender bumpers, dock line, jumper cables, tow strap and wet suit jacket in mine.
The only downside I've had with it is during surf jumping. With the weight i have in it sometimes the Velcro straps will come undone from the grab bar from the impact on landings. But, were talking 15-20ft drops. Much higher than a boat wake jump.
Once i had a wave break on top of me. I had to jump off ski so it wouldn't flip and it pulled the bag off. Good news is that it floats. It is lined with foam inside.
I also have the yamaha handlebar bag. It fits nice. It has a waterproof bag sewn into it. Not very big, but big enough to hold my cigarettes and a rag to clean my glasses.
Here's a few pics of it i have on computer. i keep ski 30 min away so i cant take any better at this time.
