turbo rxp/x build pics
just a few pics of the turbo we are putting on our 04 rxp motor in rxpx hull. started it last night but have to sort air filter and cooling lines before testing as the water is cold here now we want to change the way the open loop is run. currently it was as les gives with the plate any suggestions for running the motor a bit hotter in cold conditions?

If you don't mind me asking, what is the build time and cost associated with fabricating a turbo setup, tuning, etc... If you'd prefer to PM, that's cool...(or not say at all, just curious)

Its hard to say on time/cost as this has been a "backburner" project and the ski was setup with the intercooler, ecu, rrfpr, already with a c kit so to add the turbo is probably a few days work to do the j pipe and outlet pipe, oil feed and drain etc. as for cost to do most of the work yourself around $3000 including a new turbo and didgital gauge/boost controller. Its all the little hose fittings, flanges bolts studs, gaskets, nuts etc etc etc that add up and take time to find.
Mike we went with a gt28r but if to much lag will go to a smaller exhaust housing.
Mpower, we run various grates that we make ourselves either modified closed down stock x grate or altered rxt grates. we have run high 70's but are a little anxious about going over 80.
We are building up a lighter 04 hull which this motor may go into but not sure yet. next weekend will be testing time.Last edited by jasonze; 06-13-2008 at 11:41 PM.

Why would you want a gt38 i told brad to use a gt28 is this what you meant?
If you went with a gt38 you will still be tryng to get off the line as everybody else will be going around the first mark

turbo
the exhaust plumbing looks too close to the waterline. i thought jasonize did mention in his original post that he used a gt 28 and then recorrects himself.
