So digging around in the back I believe I have found where I have to intercept the intake to place a strainer. (1) Water enters from the pump area. (2) is where the flush hose connects (3) is the flush hose descending to the connection. The intercept would occur between (1) & (2). There is another hose that is connected to the engine by the thermostat. My only question is would the thermostat be located on the out flow from the motor? I guess that would make the most sense as it would monitor the temp of the water exiting the system.
