Odyssey PC625 Dry cell battery?
Is this a good battery for a stock '04 RXP? Does it fit in the stock location? Thanks.

A very good battery & recommended for the RXP. Check the measurements of both & see if there are differences. I believe this is a direct replacement.

a PC625 is a direct replacement for a YB16CLB...
a YB16 is the battery used in every single yamaha watercraft and seadoo 2-strokes
however, the 4-stroke Seadoos use a YB30CLB... oddyssey claims the equivalent to this is a PC925...
IMO, the stock battery YB30 and a PC925 are overkill..... they do have better cranking amps, but they are also very expensive... seadoo equips all 4-tecs with a YB30CLB frmo the factory... but you are able to start a 4-tec with a YB16 no problem. BUT... if you have a hard time starting your ski and have to crank it several times, then the YB16/PC625 will lose the juice alot sooner than a PC925 or YB30
the PC625 will not just bolt in without a little finesse and modifying the bolting bracket.. it's a much smaller sized battery dimensionally.
i use a PC625 in one of my 4-tec skis with no problem, but i made my own battery tray system for it

Thanks for clearing that up. I was going from memory (faulty) from when I was shopping a battery for a conversion project, I thought I remembered a recommendation for the PC625 for the 4-Tec - my bad.

Thanks for the info! I was also looking at a battery I saw in another thread, it's only around $80. Anybody know anything about these?

the 925l is the one you want for the 4tecs
it will accually sit on it side in the oem tray
I ONLY use the oddessey batts.
got them in all the 4wheelers and the 2 ski's
IMO the best batt made.

Can you use the 925 instead of the 925L?
