strong fuel smell when lifting seat
I have a new 08 FX and whenever i remove the seat, i smell fuel. Dealership is over an hour away and busy this time of year.
Are there some basic checks i can do before making that trip?

As long as you have no leaks this is common on alot of FX,s & HO's.
If possible leave seat off when not in use or prop it open with a short piece of wood to vent.
If left outside (where you cant leave seat off) or it's a long drive to launch site then always remove seat to vent fumes before starting up.
