    Thats exactly what I needed.

I went out today, and I maxed RPMs at 7000 or 60.5 mph at 7 lbs of boost. I did mess with the cooling system (which is now 155 - 180 degrees f) and removed the wedge. Can a boost leak cause such a los in RPMs? I also smell some exhaust fumes and the catch can breather is definitly breathing fumes. Do theses fumes smell like exhaust, or do you suspect a small exhaust leak?

I didnt check slip but fingered the sc and it is good.

I am thinking boost leak and/or fuel pump. I need to research fuel pump failure symptoms.

Ive been talking to a couple of you boys, but Im trying to get some fresh thoughts on this.

After installing the riva open loop kit last weekend, I water tested it and it works. I did habe a loss of 7000 rpm at 7 lbs of boost and 60/61 mph.

    Today, I did the following:

Using the boost leak tool from dynotunenitrous, I connected a kobalt tire pressure/inflator tool and found a slow boost leak, approx 1 lb per 30-45 seconds.

I remived all the IC pipes and tested the pressure at the tb and found the same leak. I removed the tb and cleaned the rubber gasket real well, reconnected it then tested to find the same leak.

    I did a leak down test and got 140, 145 and 143.

I reconnected everything and will water test tomorrow. Any thoughts or ideas?

BOV? Could it be weak or out of setting? Can you test it?

Did you ever start monitoring afr's?
Fuel pump is a possibility. Thomas said that was the cause of his low rpm problems.

    No blow off valve, GL.

Troy, i bought a LC1 and dialed in afr at wot. 11.9 at idle, 13.5ish at cruise, and 11.9 at wot.

And to clarify, i did a compression test, not a leak down. I will work on a leak down this week, maybe the weekend.

Took the ski out this evening...

Dialed in afr at wot. LM1 seems to jump from 11.8 to 12.0 ocaasionally 12.1 but the needle on the rrfpr does budge when giving throttle. I thought it was suppose to.

I idled out of the NWZ and until i got 165 water temp and gradually git to wot and saw 7800 rpm. I went back to idle to plug in tje LM1 and went wot again to see 7400/7350. I turned the screw on the rrfpr then wot again to 7200, then again to 7000 and 7100. It was suggested that i may have an exhaust leak, choking the engine with carbon monoxide. Makes sense. I believe it has to do with something I touched while installing the open loop kit. I am hoping my boost leak test showing a 1 lb per 30 seconds is due from an insufficient kobalt tire pressure inflator tool attached to the boost leak tool.
I plan on starting engine and feeling for exhaust leak then removing the waterbox, j pipe and ex mani for inspection.

After thinking about it, i do believe i connected the through hull pipe to the waterbox and j pipe before con ecting the j pipe to the ex mani. I would rather get a good connection at the j pipe ex mani then bring the pipe to the waterbox and see if i cant get a better fit.

The afr bouncing around a liiiitle bit is no big deal.
You may have a exhuast leak. With rpms being up then going down after it gets warm could be it.
