question about oil seals on closed loop water pump
pulled off my impeller to install my open loop kit and upon unscrewing the wheels, the two seals behind it basically fell out, the main seal appears damaged. what would cause this to happen? kind of sucks because now i have to wait on two new seals.

Mine were damaged too... my pump had 12 hours on it... so yeah no idea why they go bad but I had Skat put in the triple bearing mod so as to help resolve the issue permantly.

He's talking about the water pump on the engine, not the jet pump. There's an impeller mounted on the engine inside the thermostat cover.
