rideplate info
ok yeah i have read that adding to the ride plate helps well im just wanted to know how much to add i have heard 1" is perfect but more itell would be great and also if there any any pics a rideplate that has already been done would be great to thanks

1" extension welded to ridplate is perfect

ok great so how would i best go about making the few bends in it that would line up to the ride plate

I cut individual pieces of 3/16th flat bar and welded them together.

1. what exactly does the additional inch help out with Jerry?
2. would skegs have to be mounted farther back if you had an extended ride plate?

It helps with hookup in chop and also with porpoising.
If you run the skegs then you would want them all the way back.
The extension also scrubs a bit of speed.

well i ride in a river with slit chop in the covs and some time white caps in the main branch of the river soo ill take it they would be best for me and how much mph are we talking bout that it takes off? also would i gain the speed back with it exteneded and if i did do the mod would the skegs add speed cus i still need to fill in my ride plate holes what would you say to use

you lose about 1 mph, but will gain it back when you fill the rideplate holes. I use JB Weld stick to fill in my holes.

yeah i thought thats what it was you used but you think i could use all metal its a type of body filler yeah i do body work for a living and this stuff doesnt take in moister pritty easy to sand and would stay very well or do you think just stay with the reg stuff every one useslike jb weld and stuff
