this sucks
i put gas in my gpr and a little bit spilled out and then got on the graffics and took the color right off
im so pissed right now you would think they would make the a little more durable.

This happens to everyone but it didn't take the colour off my graphics..

i cant say i ddnt put them on but i assume so
if you guys want a pick ill go take some
this is gona piss me off all season i mean its not to big of a deal cause i was gonna strip the hull and have it repainted this winter and put all new graphics on but it just makes me mad.Last edited by stingray152003; 06-09-2008 at 07:46 PM.

pics please, I have done that and the color didn't come off.... it does suck... i spent a lot of time cleaning mine and got some tar on it from the parkin' lot

same thing happened on my 03 when i was pumping gas out of tank to store for winter. If you wipe it off right away there isnt a problem. I must've forgot and it dissolved the ink but the sticker backing was fine.
Good part is that the oem decals are pretty cheap. My replacement oem was like $13

WOW!! I've never seen that happen before. We spill fuel all the time when topping off for the last run and never had damage to the graphics like that.
Could that be the ethanol we are all forced to run??

My gas damaged decal is still on ski. havent gotten around to changing them. I had to buy 2 new foot well decals also. I store them outside in winter with just the oem covers on them and the water in foot wells freeze and made the decals start to peel from the bottom.

I have done it too on my gp. I left it on for about 3 or 4 mins and that was enough time for the gas to soak in and do some damage.
