Craigslist - what model is this?
Okay, Polaris experts, exactly what model is this guy selling, and would it be FI or carbed?

If it really is a 2000 model (last two digits of the HIN would tell), then I would think it is a Virage 701cc carbureted two cylinder, which is rated 95HP.
There were no Virage fuel injected twins before 2002, and they were rated 100HP.
Looks like it has mirrors, and I don't think the Freedom models had mirrors (perhaps as an option). If it has a digital display, it is not a Freedom. Freedom was only 2002-2004.
The Virage two cylinder models are probably the most fuel efficient 3 seater Polaris, only the injected twin would be provide better fuel economy.
$3500 seems a high for a two cylinder 2000 Virage. Some three cylinder Virage TX's go for similar money...
BTW, I am sure I am not alone in my dislike for Craigslist's 'standard' super low resolution image size. Just terrible - hard to see any real detail, even with well taken photos.

Very informed answer! See, I knew one of you guys would know...
I've been told to avoid the fuel injected models, as there's not a lot of help or parts out there, should it break down.
The KBB "dealer retail" price is $3010, NADA is $2110. If it's in really great shape, I could maybe see $3K, but $3500 seems too high to me, too.
Yea, that's true, but they're paying for the bandwidth. For a free service, you can't complain.

Actually, I just did complain!
Sometimes 'free' is good value, sometimes it causes grief.
Craigslist has its problems;
No seller history worth mentioning, no posting of actual transaction prices, lousy images, and often enough, confused and/or misleading posts, and not-quite-legal goods.

I believe it to be a virage .They bought out the freedom when the Injected ski's came out in 2002 (bad year for me ,I bought 5 of these heaps )It was a basic hire ski .
Cheers

I agree. It appears to be either a 2000 or 2001 Virage, 700 engine. These are very reliable, carburated, uncomplicated, economical to operate, skis. I still have two of the 2002 models, which are basically the same, except for the color.
If it's near by, truely is like new, with those low hours, $3000 is the very highest I would go, with the trailer and all equipment. $2800 would be better.
