How do you break Loctite?
I have kicked around the idea of putting stepped sponsons on my GPR and I tried to loosen the screws on my Riva sponsons and THEY WON'T BUDGE! I used the Blue Loctite and I am afraid of snapping off a Phillips head if I try anymore.

I was told by a local PWC mechanic was to get a pneumatic impact wrench and set it at a very low pressure so that it's not creating torque as much as just vibrating the bolt... he said that it should help loosen the loctite (or any salt corrosion in my case).

Heat will break loctite. We used a big soldering type gun to get at allen head bolts. But those should come apart without it I would think.

The impact gun on low is the best way on the sponsons.. Heat can melt the plastic sponson.

An old trick that I was told was to try and tighten just a bit and then reverse your wrench and remove. Not sure what the deal is, but it has worked for me.
