75 MPH Ski Rentals????
I was in Pensacolla beach this weekend and laughed at the ski rental advertisement. I did not take a photo but it read "New 2006 75 mph waverunners for rent" Yea right.........Maybe i believe it on the guages but the average joe would not know the guages do not give accurate speeds.... I should buy me some more skis and do the same....

Had a guy tell me his ski did 90 on his speedometer when i was at the boat ramp last week. He had a 06 FX HO. I laughed.

I was washing my skis at the car wash Saturday and a guy stopped and said, boy those are some nice looking skis. He asked if they were modified and how fast they went. I told him this one 82 on GPS and this one 76. He said oh you must not have too much done to them because i have a Sea Doo GTX milinium edition that is stock and it does 79
My reply was oh wow i hope to see you out on the water soon

I like the one where the Sea Doo Techs tell me that they took a stock RXT out recently and did 73+++. I then asked which GPS unit they used and then I get the "Deer in the headlights" look from them...

i had 2 ultra 150's run there mouths 2 weeks before the bug.
"ohh you got a xp,(then chuckled) my ultra run 75mph"
"whatta you run like 60??"
my reply.
"really- wow - wanna run my slow xp for fun"
needless to say
I stomped them SOOOOOO badly (like 8 boat lengths) in front of his bitch that he wanted to fight after.
my theory
"dont run your mouth- if you cant back it up"

I had a guy on a 01 RX that claimed his ski did close to 80 mph. He laughed when I said my RXP only did 68 Mph. He actually said my ski was a waste of moneysince it was so slow. To make a long story short, I guess he figures I defied physics, or how else would my 68Mph RXP beat the crap out of his 80 mph RX?

The bad thing about some of these rental places is that they even keep the learner keys on them no matter what (liability and to save gas). So the fastest you'll go is maybe 40 mph... if you are a light tank.

Usually if i have someone come up and ask how fast my skis go I just tell him they do about 40 and if they want to run for some cash....Its just not worth trying to tell someone that a XLT that has an ungodly amount aftermarket goodies on it that only does 75
when they or a freind of thiers have a stock gp1200 or gp1200r or rxp or anyother two seater out there goes close to 80...not worth my time anymore..put up or shut up!!!
