    Unhappy 2008 rxpx sucked up rocks

    broke vanes of pump shoe should i get new one or sand down need pro's &con's going to order r&d grate and metal wear ring what solas prop should i order thanks leaving ski basicaly stock maybe air filter plus i have 06 rxp will pump fit till i get parts!

    Lots of people have ground down the vanes with no noticeably effect.

    I have mine ground down from rocks breaking them and I have seen many others do the same. Some say it helps with the water vortex, which is probably true. Grind them down first, and if you notice no loss of RPM or cavitation don't bother replacing. I doubt you will notice at all. It defintely will not hurt if you grind them down first, and it will probably save you a lot of money.
