WTB: SLX780 95 vortex flame arrestor
i need vortex flame arrestor for my skii, because before my skii used a flame arrestor of the 750 which dont have a filter on a metal screen? this could affect lean condition right?

There is no filter that fits over the screen,No real need for it as the air on the water isn't normally dusty.

750 flame arrestor is only using the steel screen right? way different in sucking air from the vortex flame arrestor of the 780???

If your f/a is like my 95 650's,( I feel sure it is) it is more restrictive, and seems to me that it would likely be rich w/ the slx factory jets and carb settings if there were not any other issues.

no,... there no restriction....with that 750 f/a....its on a plastic cover polaris and a big hole flat screen....the 780 f/s vortex is more restrictive...

The 650/ 750's f/a is more restrictive than the sl 780's. If measured around the circumference of the 780s' x the hight, it is pretty close to the same area of the screen of the 750. The 780's stainless mesh has larger holes and the outside screen is pleated which gives it more surface area than the 750's screen. Also the plenum for the f/a on the 780 is an improvement over the 650/ 750 design.( less restrictive)
The 780's f/a is an upgrade to the 650/ 750's. It's also my understanding that the vortex f/a's are an upgrade to the 780s f/a ( less restrictive).
Why would polaris give the 650/ 750 more airflow than the 780? It has more cc's.
