2003 GTX instrument gauge question
Why wouldnt my instrument gauge on an 2003 GTX show the water temp, engine temp, compass and depth finder, while my friend's 2003 GTX does?
Does the computer have to be re-programmed? DO I need a new computer?

First, the depth finder is an option on all but the GTX LTDs, so a dealer would have to turn that on with BUDS, but you would have to add the transducer and associated cabling which is around $400 the last time I looked. There is no engine temp readout, its Environmental temp - or air temp. This sensor and the compass sensor are located under the hood. The water temp sensor and speed sensor are located on the back right side of the ride plate. The water, E-temp and compass should all work unless the sensors are bad or they were turned off with BUDS... Ron
