strap above or below the bow roller?
own a double PWC trailer...just purchased a 08 FX HO that is alot larger than the Kawasaki 12f...the dealer moved the winch forward (toward truck) to allow the yammie to sit fully on the bunks. Now, the yammie doesn't reach the winch/roller stop, but dealer said the strap should go below the bow roller stop for downforce.
i can adjust/move the winch back to the ski bow, but the strap must go above the bow roller, not below.
Question is....it is more secure for the strap to go below the bow roller and roller not make contact OR should the ski sit flush on the bow roller and the strap go overtop?

Winch strap should go under the roller (or sometimes even the bolt/guide below the roller), to keep the bow clamped down when going over bumps.
The bow roller should contact the hull just above the bow-eye, to keep the bow from dipping downwards when going over bumps, AND to keep the ski from sliding forward.
Properly held, the bow should not be able to move up, down, sideways, forward, or back.
The tie downs at the rear of the PWC are just to keep the rear held down, not to keep it from moving forward or backwards.
