Hot seat cdi
Do any of you domestic engine gurus know if Hot seat made a cdi for the 1200? I'm assuming they did, but don't know for sure. I bought a box of stuff from them a couple years ago, and this cdi was in there, but i want to know how i can tell what it's for either a 900, 1050, or 1200. You can't really read the part numbers. I'll take a picture of it once my camera battery charges up.

If it has the plug in chips, it is for the 1050s, but only works on the original ignitions systems, not the updated style. To my knowledge, they never made a CDI for the 1200, as they were "flashable" by that point.

So it must be for a 1050 then going by what you say. If it won't work with the updated ignition, is there any good way to upgrade the cdi on my 1050? Like say putting a 1200 cdi on there? I have one of those too that was in the box of parts.

IF you have the updated CDI already..it will have a port on it.....you can send it to randy and have it programmed however u like..

That's cool. I'm learning something new everyday. I'll have to look at mine to see if it has the port. This 1200 one has the port. Can that be programmed and used on my 1050? Maybe that way i could have a stock one and a reprogrammed one.

I'm assuming this is updated style? The only problem is the second picture. Hot seat must've had alot laying around and forgot what was what. I got these in a big box of parts i paid $10 for.

If you have an old style stator, you can send it to Jet Ski Solutions and have them make it like new and then run your Hot Seat CDI. I have one of those Hot Seat CDI's along with a spare set of the green chips.
