supercharger oil level
2007 model about 30hrs. checked oil level today in supercharger but i cant seem to see level on the dip stick is this oil a clear color or my level may be below the stick. i will check with a longer piece of wire. also if i obtain the right oil can i just top it up or should i drain and replace. also save on removing supercharger to drain can you suck oil out the dipstick tube. oh and does anyone have a listing for the grade of oil.
also no sign of gio as yet. fingers crossed.
thanks for your help

The oil is clear and yes its also hard to see. Good to see you still have the stick guage on the nut. Some have fallen off, make sure its tight. I believe it just screws in. Also grab a service manual and it will tell you everything.

1. don't worry about your SC oil until the 50hr mark
2. make sure the ski is level when checking oil level
3.there is a drain bolt on the right front bottom side(towards the engine)
4.get the oil from r&d or the online store
5.refill with 125cc or 4.2 oz

waterscooter do you have to remove charger to drain or can you do it in the hull or can you suck it out through dipstick?
only worried about level as its hard to see oil on stick but i will use a long bit of wire and see how low it is. also found another post where someone couldnt put stick back in but i use a magnet on a telecopic stick to remove and install.
not worrying about it now just preparing whilst i can get info from you.
thanks for your quick response and helpLast edited by nicjak; 05-28-2008 at 08:54 PM.

no you do not have to remove the charger..you can either drain it at the drain bolt or suck it out..in order to get every drop out you have to drain it through the drain bolt though..since you only have 30hrs i wouldn't worry about it right now..

If you look down between hull and exhaust manifold about near the word charged (as in supercharged) there is a single bolt most likely with paint on it about 16mmm head that is the dip stick. I suggest you loosen it then use a magnet to retrieve it out of there. So as you dont drop it.
good luck

The Service Manual is the most powerful mod you can buy.
