you may have to pull the pump as well.
Maybe the wear ring will need to be replace. maybe.
Get some good cutters

Years ago a friend did that on my 96 GTI in the middle of the lake. So I just flipped her up side down and about 30 mins later was able to work the rope back out. Flipped her back up right and removed the seat and there wasn't much water inside
so I fired her up and was good to go for the rest of the day.
Sometimes you get lucky.

depending on how bad the windup was, you can pull the spark plugs and allow the motor to spin freely as you unwind it out. But, if its in there bad, use a good box knife to cut her out.

do not hit the starter, that will just wind the rope tighter!!!!
just try to unravel it by pulling, but most likely get a new razor blade knife and jsut cut it out, lots of cutting and pulling and all the peices will comeout.
make usr eit didnt wind all teh way into the impeller, or up into the drive shaft seal, if it did inspect closely for damage.
when you are all done, start teh ski on the trailer, dry, no flush hose, and look up into the intake at teh shaft to make sure it isnt bent.
dont run the ski dry for more than about 30 sec.

It could not have been as bad as Chris the plumber did to his ski last year.
You got lucky this did some damage.
