choke cable
how do you remove the choke cable on a 95xp 720?

I have no idea if it's anything like a 96XP 787. But i had to remove mine for the first time today too. And after a while i realized you need a really small allen wrench to loosed the set screw that holds the end of the cable in place on the choke "throttles". Once you looser the screw a lil, the cable slides right out. I'm assuming you are talking about the end that's on the carbs, not the end you actually pull the lever at.
I hope in some way that helps!!Good luck!

If the carbs are installed use a mirror to locate and size the hex.
If your removing the carbs to clean them, unbolt them before removing the cables. Install in reverse.

720 needs a brace if you are going to F/A's.
Contact water worx on here. He probably has a set he can sell you. Plus, you will need to rejet, he can help you with that.Last edited by canadaxp; 05-24-2008 at 03:15 PM.
