720 airbox grate.
will removing that metal grate inside the air box increase performance for a seadoo 720? Im a dual carb

thats basically a filter remove that and crap can go in carbs I think.

yep, thats the filter... if you want to get rid of that, you can get flame arrestors for them on a stock setup. Im sure someone will chime in on where to find them.

That wire mesh is THE flame arrestor. It helps prevent a flame from escaping(from backfire) out of airbox causing a possible explosion. You can remove all but one screen and help with better airflow, but not real noticable, unless ski is very well tuned on the edge. You can change to aftermarket open flame arestors and help a lot increasing airflow, but will need to adjsut carb settings and possibly jet sizes.
