Corson's Inlet??
What's the deal with Corson's Inlet?
I hear it gets pretty crowded, and there is a lot of people down there who need riding lessons.
Any thoughts?

we used to go there to wave jump. great waves, plenty of gas stations in back bay. it can get alittle crowded. It's pretty well known. easily 10+ ski jumping at same time.
Nice bar/restaurant in backbay with jetski docks to relax.

Just go during the week,it is awsome then.I won't even touch the Boat or Jetski's on the weekend on any waterway.I would say about 85% of the boaters and PWC'rs out there during this time need lessons, its a shame. But Corson's inlet is an awsome place to go in general, one of my favorites...

im bumping this thread because I am curious if anyone on the forum goes there consistently. I am a weekender over there and its usually a good time.
+1 on most riders not knowing what they are doing though! Will anyone be there this weekend?

Corson's is an awesome riding spot.
Yeah there's always been alot of newbies there, but some old school hardcore riders are there too.
I havent been there since last year gotta schedule a trip soon.
I'm gonna suggest to the "Barnegat" crew as a BBQ spot.

Corson's is one a my favorite places to jump surf. I only make it to OC, 1-2 weeks a year on vacation, but I'll jump for atleast 3 days back to back or until I can walk anymore.
Water was COLD in the beginning of July, I'll be back in early Sept. to try again.
Some amateurs, but alot of old school wave jumpers there too.
It seems the sand bars change over the winter, I was in a spot that was a good distance out and I knew should have been deep, but the water was just above my knees.

I grew up near Corson's, in fact, I know the grandson to the name. Great place, we used to call it 'boater's beach' because it is a non stop party. I still own a house in the island, OCNJ. the only problem is that it is State controlled beach, so be carefull. great waves though. If you are looking for waves to jump, go to the north end of the island, better there, less traffic, no authorities. It is just about a full tank to get ther though, however, less crowded - no police - = worth it.
