wrecked Ultra 250X
1st run out and i sucked up a bunch of rocks into the pump. took the steering nozzle off and a bunch of rocks fell out. it looks pretty messed up in there. Does the back end of the pump just pull off? Is that best way to get to impeller, it's pretty chewed up and rocks are stuck in it so that motor will not turn it. i hope i didn't wreck the motor.

Ouch! Something similar happened to me. I sucked a BIG rock in and stopped the motor. Towed back to the ramp and pulled the nozzle and pump off. Removed the rock and put it all back together and ski ran fine. I had a damaged prop afterwards. Where are you located? I have a spare prop (was all done up by impros)... Let me know.

Update:
Got the pump off. just had to pry a bit. It looks like the vanes are toasted. big chunks of metal missing. the inside of the pump is all scratched. Needs a new impeller.
Question:
Is the main body of the pump where the vanes are, called the vane guide (part #: 59496-3757)? guess i need a new seal too. Is this stuff expensive?

I had the same problem with my 250x last summer. I sent my whole pump to Impros to get it repair. Here are some pictures of my pump after it was damage by rocks. When I got my pump back from Impros, you couldn't even tell it was damage. I wish I had taken a picture after the pump was repaired.
