vts extension?
could you use the extension without the wedge would it do anything?

The extension rod is used to make up for the added thickness of the wedge. It seems to me that if you used the extension rod without the wedge, the trim ring would be forced down more which would force the bow of the ski down. Just like trimming an I/O down in a boat... Ron

No need too. You get the full range of performance with the stock VTS rod without running a wedge. You wouldn't be able to get much top speed because your front would be in the water, I bet you would lose 10mph even at the top position. I went with the 2.5 degree wedge and the VTS extension.............best money I spent.
