Suprising results on RXT
Have 5 hours now on my RXT..
Did a little more modding, actually de-modding saturday.
Removed the Rotax Racing I/C.. Put back in stock resonator.
Was just too loud for me..
Anyhooo, I did not have time to put back in stock I/C..
so i just ran without it. Wanted also to see if I could find
cause of P1544 exhaust code at WOT.
Finally had my GPS with me.
Results: 68 mph @ 7920 rpms
water 62*, Air 62* Full tank of gas 250+ rider
I know i would lose a lot more rpms if were warmer.
But I am back to being stealth quiet now
Me thinks I will wait until I can get an exteral i/c from
an X model when price is right so I can keep quiet.
Can some one remind me where is best place to drill/tap
vacuum/ boost hole in intake manifold as I will be putting
back in stock intercooler this week and will lose my block off
fitting???
Note: I did notice less low and midrange power and less holeshot
with no intercooler vs. RR . I have never run this boat with stock i/c so I'll find next weekend what somewhat stock boat is like.
I did tap on 8000 couple of times, but would not stay there.

I too got surprising results out of an RXP with no intercooler. See the link below.
