Sea-Doo Extended Warranty Purchase Question
The one year factory warranty for my 2005 RXP will come up next month. Does anybody know where I can get the best pricing for the Sea-Doo Best Warranty?
The SC clutch disks blew at 10 hours and that was around $1,200 to fix which was covered by the factory warranty. I'm just worried about the clutch going again. So I thinking about purchasing an extended warranty. I not intrested in 3rd party warranties though.
I called a Sea-Doo dealer got a price of $879.00 for a three year with a $50 deductible. Is that pretty much the best I can get?

Sea-Doo won't do it if it's over a year, you can get an extended warranty from a third party provider but they are expensive like over $2,000 and some consumers claim they aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Still, might be worth a look since rebuilds can run over $6,000 on these engines. It's not like rebuilding a motorcycle engine, the parts alone are very costly...

on a different note, Should oil and spark plugs fall under warranty if I'm having a new motor put in my ski? I'm kind of frustrated with this!!

yes... all materials, fluids, gaskets, antifreeze, oil are all part of the warranty claim IF needed during a motor job or something like that.
obviously regular maintenance oil changes is not part of your warranty

Oil & plugs are wear items, just like the wear ring and through hull seal... Ron
